We hereby inform you that, in accordance with the legislation in force, after September 1, 2021, the personal data of all guests who use accommodation services in Hungary, as defined by law, will be recorded through the document reader of each accommodation facility, in the software of the accommodation manager, and then stored in the Guest Information Closed Database (VIZA ) is obliged to forward.

The data to be recorded:

family and first name;
surname and first name
at birth;
place of birth;
Date of birth;
gender of guest;
nationality;
mother’s birth surname and first name
(if included in the identification document);
personal identification or travel document identification data;
in the case of a third-country national**, the number of the visa or residence permit, the date and place of entry.

We kindly ask our guests to show their identification card, driver’s license or passport at the hotel reception upon arrival in order to record the data. In the absence of presentation of the document, the hotel is forced to refuse the accommodation service. Failure to record data has serious legal consequences for all accommodations. Based on the authorization of legislation, the hotel is entitled to request the guest’s identification document, and the guest is obliged to present it.

Please note that the above rules are mandatory for all guests, regardless of age. If your child does not yet have an identity card, you can apply at the Government window – even without making an appointment – and a temporary identity card will be issued to your child immediately upon request.
